TL;DR: JoinBareng is a platform that manages official plans, not a pirated-account reseller
JoinBareng is a subscription-sharing platform that directly purchases officially multi-user plans from digital service providers — Netflix Premium (4-screen), Spotify Family/Duo, YouTube Premium Family, Microsoft 365 Family, and similar plans — then provides shared access to users via group-buy. We do not sell pirated accounts, do not facilitate illegal password sharing, and do not use jailbreak or cracking methods.
JoinBareng’s business model
JoinBareng operates as a group-buy platform:
- JoinBareng directly purchases officially multi-user plans (e.g., Spotify Family, Netflix Premium, YouTube Premium Family) from service providers, with accounts under JoinBareng’s name.
- JoinBareng opens preorder batches for each plan. Users join until all slots are filled.
- Users pay only their share via QRIS / virtual account. Funds are held until the batch is ready for activation.
- Once the batch fills, account access is distributed to all users in that batch.
- Subsequent monthly payments are invoiced automatically. Refund guarantee applies for technical issues during the active period.
Important: users do not transact with strangers. Users purchase access directly from JoinBareng, and JoinBareng is responsible for account management (purchasing, official payments to providers, replacement, dispute handling).
Why sharing multi-user plans is not illegal
Indonesian law does not prohibit group purchase of digital goods/services that are designed by their providers to be used by more than one user. The following plans explicitly allow multiple users in their Terms of Service:
- Spotify Family / Duo — supports 6 / 2 separate accounts in one plan.
- YouTube Premium Family — supports up to 6 family members with their own accounts.
- Apple One Family — supports sharing with up to 5 family members.
- Microsoft 365 Family — supports up to 6 users.
- Netflix Premium — supports 4 simultaneous streams; JoinBareng provides access to this multi-screen capacity in line with Netflix’s policies.
For plans with strict single-user policies (e.g., individual-only subscriptions), JoinBareng does not provide them.
User responsibility regarding service ToS
Every digital service has its own Terms of Service that may change at any time. As a JoinBareng user, you remain responsible for compliance with the ToS of services you use. JoinBareng monitors policy changes of major services and adjusts accordingly (e.g., delisting) when needed.
Difference from pirated accounts, OG accounts, or illegal sharing
What JoinBareng does not do:
- Sell mass-generated “cheap Premium” accounts (OG accounts) bought with illegal/stolen payment methods.
- Share private account passwords (single-user plans) to people outside the household.
- Use exploits, cracking, or jailbreak to obtain subscription access.
- Facilitate sharing of services whose ToS forbids multi-user.
- Act as a P2P intermediary (host-joiner) — all plans are purchased and managed directly by JoinBareng.
Consumer & data protection
- Consumer Protection Law: refund guarantee follows Law 8/1999 — full refund for services not delivered as promised.
- Personal Data Protection Law (Law 27/2022): user personal data is processed following data minimization principles. Details in the Privacy Policy.
- Payments: processed by Bank Indonesia–licensed payment gateways (Xendit). Card/account data is not stored on JoinBareng servers.

Is subscription sharing legal in Indonesia?
Sharing plans that officially support multiple users — Family Plans, multi-screen Premium Plans, Group Plans — is legal in Indonesia. Indonesian law does not prohibit group purchase of digital goods/services that are designed by their providers for use by multiple users. JoinBareng only provides access to these plans.
Does JoinBareng sell pirated accounts?
No. JoinBareng does not sell pirated accounts, does not use jailbreak/cracking, and does not share passwords illegally. All plans provided are purchased directly by JoinBareng from official service providers (Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, etc.) and are plans specifically designed for multi-user use.
How does JoinBareng ensure ToS compliance?
JoinBareng only provides access to plans whose Terms of Service explicitly permit multiple users (Family Plan, Group Plan, Premium with multi-screen/multi-device). Services with strict single-user ToS are not provided. Users remain fully responsible for ToS compliance of services they use.
Is JoinBareng registered in Indonesia?
JoinBareng operates in Indonesia and is subject to Indonesian law, including the ITE Law, Consumer Protection Law, and Personal Data Protection Law. Legal entity details can be requested via the contact page.
How does JoinBareng protect user data?
JoinBareng complies with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP). Data handling details are in the Privacy Policy. Payment data is not stored on JoinBareng servers (processed by licensed payment gateways like Xendit).
