With the Academic group buy plan, you get a full year of Paperpile access by paying one slot of a maximum 2-person group. That means your subscription cost is roughly half the normal single-user price. Access is provided as shared credential login: the same email and password for all group members. Activation is fast after the group is fully funded.
Shared account rules apply to keep everyone's experience smooth. Do not change the account password or email, since other members need to log in with the same credentials. Do not log out other devices in account settings, since this action can disconnect other members. Use Paperpile only for adding citations, inserting references, and generating bibliographies — normal activities that will not trigger shared-use detection.
For the Regular plan currently open, the current Regular plan is sold as 1 user (private). Group plans will follow. Until the group plan is launched, you can order the private slot directly, and it will be upgraded to the group plan once available. Invoice and confirmation are all delivered via WhatsApp, and payment is processed via QRIS or local bank transfer.
The 1-user (private) plan is for those who do not want to share at all and want a dedicated account. The group plan coming soon is for those who have friends or research colleagues who also need Paperpile and want a more affordable option.
